Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is an NFC Amulet?
A1: It's an amulet equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, embedding a contactless IC tag. By simply tapping your smartphone, you can read pre-written information (e.g., website URLs). Unlike QR codes, there's no need to launch a camera and focus; its characteristic is the simple "tap-to-use" operation.
Q2: What smartphones can be used with it?
A2: NFC functionality is available on iPhone 7 and later models. For iPhone XS/XR and later models with iOS 13.1 or higher, automatic reading is possible without launching a dedicated app.
Many Android smartphones support NFC. Please check your smartphone's "Settings" under "Connected devices" or "Wireless & networks" to ensure "NFC" functionality is turned on. If NFC functionality is not found, your device may not support NFC.
Q3: My smartphone does not react when I tap the amulet. What should I do?
A3: Several reasons may be considered. Please check the following points:
- Is NFC functionality turned on? Confirm that NFC is enabled in your smartphone's settings.
- Are you holding it in the correct position? The NFC antenna location varies by smartphone. On Android, it's often near the center of the back; on iPhone, it's usually near the camera. Try moving it slightly to find the sweet spot.
- Is your smartphone in sleep mode? Please hold it when the screen is on.
- Is power-saving mode enabled? If power-saving mode is active, NFC functionality may be restricted. Please charge your phone and disable power-saving mode before trying again.
- Is your smartphone case or other IC cards interfering? Try removing the case or moving other IC cards away.
- Is the NFC Amulet directly attached to a metal surface? Metal can interfere with radio waves, making reading difficult. Unless it's a metal-compatible NFC tag, keep it away from metal surfaces.
- Is the NFC Amulet damaged? In rare cases, the tag itself might be faulty.
